Amy Neild came to WA for the red and blue side in the second quarter and the defence trio had a shuffle round; Zoe Mallinder to WD, Amber Hazelton to GD and Susie Armstrong to GK. It took some time for Oldham to settle into the quarter and the Manchester defence did their job in Oldham's shooting circle doubling up on Chloe Shepherd, which Oldham needed to adapt to quickly. Oldham started to become static and hesitant with the ball in the goal third, which allowed Manchester to come back at them and gain momentum through court, with little challenge from Oldham. Manchester forced a draw from the quarter so Oldham maintained their nine goal advantage 25 – 16.
Quarter one was a slow start for Oldham with the game going goal for goal for the majority of the first seven minutes. However, Oldham had a great run of goals in the latter stages of the first quarter scoring seven unanswered goals. The shooters were in no doubt of their role and continued to score the opportunities they were given. Oldham led at the end of the quarter 15 - 6.

A depleted Oldham premier league squad hosted bottom of the table Turnford on Sunday and came away with a convincing 65-43 win to keep them on top by goal difference.
Oldham started the slower of the two teams, but quickly regained the rhythm that they'd been building over the last few games. Some excellent full court defence and shooting from Kathryn Turner and Krista Enziano allowed Oldham to take hold of the game and head into the break 17-12 ahead. The second quarter saw some of the best netball that Oldham have produced so far this season. The defensive unit of Abby Tyrrell, Emma Dovey and Kerry Almond were taking turnovers and forcing the Turnford attack into making errors, which allowed Oldham to push ahead, with the continued sharp shooting and excellent through court work from Maria McAndrew and Amelia Hall. An incredible run of seven unanswered goals in the middle of the quarter saw Oldham take a 36-18 lead into half time. Oldham 51 - Westmoreland 37
North West Champions League Oldham travelled up to Appleby, Cumbria taking in the beautiful scenery en route, the snow still visible on the hills. Perhaps it was the cold that affected the girls in red and blue as it took them time to half time to move through the gears and start to perform. In the first quarter, Oldham were struggling to connect all the way through the court and was allowing the young Westmoreland side to find their stride and settle well into the game. Oldham turned over nearly every one of Westmoreland's centres, but couldn't score off their own. Early on mid-courter Lucy Shepherd suffered an ankle injury, which forced Oldham to make a change, Amy Neild, after recently returning to club action, moved to centre and Eleanor Fellows came at wing defence. Oldham barely kept their cold noses ahead and won the quarter 13-11. In an attempt to change up the game, coach Suzy Ashworth brought onRachel Fitzsimmons at goal keeper. Oldham started the quarter well scoring four unanswered goals. However, they allowed Westmoreland to complete two consecutive goals after they turned the ball over. The shooting from both Isobel Hallam and Kim Meadows was superb, both scoring 100% of their shots but there was simply not enough service to them. Oldham only managed to win the quarter by one goal and took the score to 22-19 at half time. A day trip to Hartlepool saw Oldham take on northern rivals Oaksway, always an unpredictable fixture.
The defensive pairing of Kerry Almond and Emma Dovey started strongly and a number of intercepts, taken speedily through to goal, saw Oldham move into an early four goal lead. This didn’t last long as Oaksway found their way back into the game, with some great goals from their tall goal shooter, Georgia Rowe. At the end of the first quarter Oldham led 11-16. Quarter two was a different story. Oldham continued to be solid in defence, with Taylor Cullen and Gabs Marshall also pitching in with some great intercepts. The through court play from Oldham was at times breathtaking. At Wing Attack, Maria McAndrew was running the centre court, linking well with Kathryn Turner and Krista Enziano. Both shooters had found their range and scored 20 goals between them. Oaksway could find no answer, as Oldham won the quarter 9-20 and took a healthy 16 goal lead into the half time break.
Oldham travelled South to play New Cambell in Dagenham, in what was expected to be a very competitive encounter against a strong and well organised team. With three regular players away at England U21 Camp, Oldham knew they would have to be focussed to get a result from this fixture.
It was a slow start for Oldham, with Cambell starting the brighter. An early hand injury to Krista Enziano caused some disruption but she soon returned to court and Oldham found their rhythm. The defensive duo of Kerry Almond and Emma Dovey were rock solid and were supported well by Taylor Cullen, who worked tirelessly to turn over ball. Maria McAndrew and Amelia Hall were too fast for the Cambell centre court and clever moves between Kathryn Turner and Enziano resulted in Oldham winning the quarter 18-11. Oldham's first home game of the season saw them face The Downs who made the long journey from Surrey. Oldham were fast out of the blocks with some good defensive pressure from the back four of Kerry Almond, Emma Dovey, Taylor Cullen and Gabs Marshall. However, a sloppy end to the quarter saw The Downs string a few passages of play together not letting Oldham get too far out of sight, the first quarter finished 14-7.
The second quarter was goal for goal for the first five minutes, until Oldham started to move through the gears instigated by some great combination play between Maria McAndrew, Kathryn Turner and Amy Clinton. It allowed Oldham to go on a run of five unanswered goals. Oldham led 29-15 at the half time break.
