Starting 7 and squad: GS Isobel Hallam GA Sarah Brennan WA Bryony Rhodes C Ebbie Danson-Chappell WD Victoria Austin GD Amber Hazelton GK Rachel Fitzsimmons Eleanor Fellows Player of the Match – Victoria Austin | Oldham lost their first centre at Saturdays game, which allowed LSA to go 2 up in the first few seconds of the game. However Oldham got into their stride and began to play their own game, which allowed them to pull back some of the goals. Oldham continued to make some errors and LSA capitalised on these. |
Second quarter, Eleanor Fellows came on at WD and Victoria Austin came to WA. Oldham started the quarter well and found the space well in attack. Fellows was dominating the WA and worked the ground hard to make it difficult for LSA’s attack.
Third quarter Bryony Rhodes came back to WA and Austin went to C. The shooters were in fine form this quarter and Oldham started to pull away from LSA. Rachel Fitzsimmons was turning a lot of ball over for Oldham in the GK position.
Fourth quarter Ebbie Danson-Chappell came back on at C and Austin on at WA. Austin had played 3 positions during the game and performed in each one. It seems wherever Austin is put, she will perform. All in all a good performance by the red and blue side, final score in Oldham’s favour 62-47.

“It wasn’t the prettiest of performances and there are some key aspects of our game that we need to improve going forward, but happy with the result and some individual performances were superb today”.
