A heavy super league weekend  ( Manchester thunder double header ) left Oldhams senior squads depleted this weekend. However the quality of Oldhams youth and development shone through  with two spectacular seniors wins.

Oldhams head Coach Pam Hazelton took 5 U16s to challenge Traffords senior womens team.

The first quarter Oldham made a few errors which Trafford scored from leaving Oldhsm down 9-11 at the end if the first quarter.

Pam Hazelton swiftly moved 15 year Old Amelia Hall into GA along with Fellow 15 year old 6ft shooter Lucy Stevenson at GS.

This proved a successful change and the speed and pace of Amelia Hall along with accurate shooting put Oldham into the lead at half time 27-25.

U16s Elinor Hull and Rachel Fitzsimmons pressured the Trafford shooters taking the ball off them and gaining more confidence and momentum as the game progressed.

Chimna Ebizie moved back to WD causing more problems for Trafford with Victoria Austin moving to WA .

Oldham continued to dominate the game finishing with a well earned 57-50 win.

We have such strength and depth in this club that we can mice our youngsters into senior games and still pull off a win . I'm very impressed with the performance of the youngsters , they all put 100% into the match and showed great courage and discipline .
