Oldham U16’s hold on to their top position in the North West Regional League with a slick 80-15 win over Chester.
Oldham came out on fire immediately taking Chester by storm and notching up 17 goals in 15 minutes. Chester could only reply with three.
Coach Pam Hazelton made some early changes at the start of the second quarter with Amy Neild (GA) and Ellie Fitzhugh (WD) and Ebbie (C) entering the fray. Oldham continued to punish Chester with shooter Lucy Stevenson maintaining 100% accuracy driving the half time score up to lead by a massive 56 goals to eight.
In the third quarter Imogen Campbell came on at goal attack and Megan Allingan entered the court at wing attack.
Oldham were simply a class apart and Chester could do little to counteract their domination.
Wing defence Victoria Austin continued to take the ball off the opposition with some brilliant interceptions and defenders Abby Tyrrell (GD) and Jess Dale (GK) conceded only 3 goals in the final quarter. Oldham finished the game with an amazing 80- 15 win
