Oldham took their time to settle in the first quarter with the ball struggling to be taken to an shooting opportunity. However once Oldham found their rhythm feeders Olivia Gilbertson and Alicia Scholes had no problem finding Vanessa Luamba under the post. In defence Eleyna Flitcroft and Olivia Woodcock worked tirelessly with the help of Alicia Scholes to turn the ball over and towards the end of the quarter Oldham were dominating throughout the court, with a first quarter score of 13-2.
The shooting circle was changed going into the second quarter with Hannah Fletcher from the U13s making her debut coming on at GA. Georgina Egan came on at GS and found the net with ease. Vanessa switched back into her defensive role, intercepting balls off the Wilmslow attack. Oldham made mistakes at the beginning of the quarter but fought back to put them right. Turnovers from Vanessa and Alicia and strong defensive work across the whole court meant Wilmslow only scored 1 goal in that quarter, at half time Oldham lead 27-3.

At half time Oldham decided to make some comfortable changes to the squad Olivia Gilbertson was replaced at WA by Mia Robinson and Hannah Fletcher was replaced by Rosette Luamba at GA. Olivia Woodcock took back to the court to replace Amira Mirza .
Oldham changed the attack in the 4th quarter, replacing Mia Robinson at WA with Olivia Gilbertson and Rosette Luamba was replaced by Hannah Fletcher. Oldham started off on fire, the fast movement of the ball and speed of the attack was just too much for Wilmslow and the shooters were unstoppable. The feeds into the circle from Olivia Gilbertson and Alicia Scholes were accurate and the shooters did not miss a shot. Oldham were turning balls over throughout the court and Wilmslow didn’t know what had hit them. A few contacts in the circle gave Wilmslow 3 goals and an injury for them saw them call time out. Oldham took this opportunity to slot Vanessa back at GS and bring Eleyna Flitcroft back on to replace Vanessa at GK. This did not stop the fast flow of the game and resulted in Oldham’s highest scoring quarter.
