The opening quarter saw Alex Martin and Hannah Fletcher (with mid court support from Jess McDermott and Ebonie Richards) perform with perfect shooting scoring 18 goals between them whilst Oldham's defensive unit keeping Didsbury to just one goal - Hannah Cusack at GK and Kasmine Narnor at WD turned the ball several times leaving Oldham in command of the game being 18:1 at the whistle. Oldham made several changes at the start of quarter two resulting in a new shooting partnership with Berri Neal going into Goal Attack and Alex Martin remaining at Goal Shooter.
