Starting 7: GK Kerry Almond GD Emma Dovey WD Gabrielle Marshall C Rachel Henry WA Maria McAndrew GA Kathryn Turner GS Krista Enziano Bench: Alice Travis Georgie Webster Beth Cobden | A derby against local rivals Leeds Athletic faced the leaders as they made the short journey over the hills. Form and recent performance means nothing in what normally turns out to be a physical and tough encounter. Oldham started brightly with a fast pace which seemed to shock the home team. The attack found Enziano in the circle and she seemed to be on fire popping the ball in from all over the circle. In defence Oldham were keen to stop Leeds creating any flow or speed and went on a five goal run without an answer from Leeds. A time out in the first quarter from Leeds allowed them to refocus and pull a couple of goal back but Oldham came out on top in the first quarter 17-11. |

Oldham took their time to settle in the first quarter with the ball struggling to be taken to an shooting opportunity. However once Oldham found their rhythm feeders Olivia Gilbertson and Alicia Scholes had no problem finding Vanessa Luamba under the post. In defence Eleyna Flitcroft and Olivia Woodcock worked tirelessly with the help of Alicia Scholes to turn the ball over and towards the end of the quarter Oldham were dominating throughout the court, with a first quarter score of 13-2.
The shooting circle was changed going into the second quarter with Hannah Fletcher from the U13s making her debut coming on at GA. Georgina Egan came on at GS and found the net with ease. Vanessa switched back into her defensive role, intercepting balls off the Wilmslow attack. Oldham made mistakes at the beginning of the quarter but fought back to put them right. Turnovers from Vanessa and Alicia and strong defensive work across the whole court meant Wilmslow only scored 1 goal in that quarter, at half time Oldham lead 27-3.
