Oldham played Rochdale on Sunday 16th March which witnessed an impressive start by Oldham in the first quarter which resulted in a lead of 18 to 6 having taken several centres from Rochdale. The solid play by Oldham continued into the second quarter and Oldham consolidated their lead by scoring a further 18 goals to Rochdales 5 goals.
Oldham kept the momentum going during the third and final quarter ensuring a well deserved victory to Oldham by 63 goals to 21 from Rochdale. The Oldham shooters were consistent as evidenced by the score and this fine display was backed up by a solid defence and centre court. There were several contenders for ‘player of the match’ but Amira Mirza had an outstanding performance as wing defence and edged the nomination.
